While we believe that any group could benefit from the experiences that VMI creates,
we think there are certain groups that are particularly well positioned to benefit from
the experience:
Internal Corporate Retreats/Meetings: In the post-COVID world, companies are
increasingly struggling to find ways to bring teams together and working as a
cohesive unit. This is further undermined by the “always-on” nature of modern work.
Our experience has been that bringing internal teams together creates an
opportunity to break through that noise, combined with something fun gets the group psyched to join. By creating this space for deep thought and deep work, you
create an environment to create dialogue and perspective on current challenges and
priorities, while also allowing the time and space for long-term planning and strategy. Our
experience is that you can often accomplish more in a few short days than you can
in months of zoom calls.
Coaches and skill development leaders: Oftentimes, folks are looking to take a
break from everyday life to gain skills or level up their game. Those skills could be
work-related (improve communication/public speaking, corporate planning, sales
training, GTM strategy), they could be personal (meditation, yoga, fitness) or they
could be fun (songwriting, photography, cooking). At VMI, we aim to allow the
thought leaders delivering that content to focus on how best to deliver it impactfully
and not have to worry about the details.
Folks looking to organize a surf or ski trip: Sometimes you are just looking to go
on a ski or surf trip with friends (our favorite group), but don’t want to deal with the
logistical challenges of putting everything together. At VMI, we can organize every
detail of the trip (food, lodging, rentals, transportation), so you can just enjoy
yourself. We offer multiple options for every level. Have a group of hard-core
chargers, we can set them up for a backcountry adventure in Jackson Hole or
chasing barrels at Supertubos. Have a group that is just learning to surf or ski? We
can create an experience for beginners to dramatically improve their development in
a short time.
Charities/NGOs: At VMI, we recognize that NGOs and charities also have the
challenges of internal alignment, as well as staying in touch and communicating with
their donor community. We allocate a certain percentage of events to NGOs at a heavily discounted rate, to allow them to bring together their staff and donor community to create fun, interactive events to allow internal alignment, as well as share their vision with their donors.
